As an artist, my work combines printmaking, painting, and artist books to explore the lived experiences of being historically marginalized. I create art focused on injustice and truth telling to validate the experiences of Asian Americans. I draw on my own experiences of navigating grief, loss, trauma, and healing in this world as a second-generation Chinese American daughter with an invisible disability.
My work has been an act of personal healing that has led me through the depths of grief, trauma, and loss to find hope and joy. This process has helped me to an uncover my family’s history of migration, which deeply influences the stories of my identity shown in my work.
